Real Journeys
& Growth for
Young People

Real Impact.
Real Relationships.
Real Change.

At Switch Mentoring, success isn’t measured by quick wins or one-size-fits-all outcomes. It’s built through:

  • Consistent, trusted relationships
  • Time to build trust
  • A genuine understanding of young people as individuals

We care deeply about the work we do. Every mentoring relationship is approached with empathy, professionalism, and a belief that every young person has potential — even when they’re finding school, confidence, or engagement difficult. Seeing students grow in self-belief, reconnect with learning, and feel understood is what drives the team every day.

The testimonials below reflect what matters most to us:

  • Strong partnerships with schools
  • Safeguarding-led practice
  • Meaningful, lasting impact for young people who need it most

Trusted by schools.
Valued by students.

We’re proud to work closely with schools over time, developing flexible, bespoke mentoring support that fits real needs — not tick boxes. Whether supporting students with SEN, EBSA, trauma, or disengagement from learning, our mentors focus on building trust first, because that’s where change begins.

Reading feedback like this reminds us why we do what we do — and why relationships always come before results.

“I would wholeheartedly recommend Switch Mentoring”

Alex Lynett – SENCO – John Cabot Academy

The Switch Mentoring team have worked closely with our staff and students for several years, building a close working relationship with the school based on mutual respect, professionalism, and trust.

Mentors are highly committed, safeguarding-focused, and well trained to provide a range of flexible, bespoke mentoring packages for some of our most vulnerable children. These provide good value for money and have a positive impact on student wellbeing, attendance, and progress.

This year, we have continued to develop our internal enhanced provision with on-site visits from Switch Mentoring. Students with a variety of needs, including EBSA, trauma, and disengagement from learning, look forward to seeing their mentor in school each week — it has really helped them connect learning and life beyond school in new ways.

We are excited to see what further mentoring opportunities lie ahead in the future!

We began working with Switch Mentoring to provide additional relational and resilience-based support for some of our SEN students, who often struggle with confidence, communication, and managing emotions in a busy school environment.

The impact has been significant: students have grown in self-esteem, developed stronger social skills, and shown improved readiness to engage both in lessons and with peers.

For schools considering their services, I would wholeheartedly recommend Switch Mentoring — their inclusive approach, understanding of SEN needs, and ability to build genuine trust make a real difference for our most vulnerable learners.

We began working with Switch Mentoring to support students with a range of complex needs, including ADHD and autism. Many of these young people needed the opportunity to build a trusted relationship with an adult outside of school, develop resilience, confidence and self-esteem, and access activities they simply couldn’t experience within the school environment. Switch provided a safe and structured way for students to step beyond their comfort zones and grow.

The impact has been clear. Students have shown increased confidence, improved social interaction skills and greater resilience. They consistently speak positively about their mentor, and the sessions have become something they genuinely look forward to during the school week.

For schools considering Switch, I would highly recommend their service. The team is professional, responsive and easy to work with. Their regular reports, clearly linked to agreed outcomes, make it straightforward to monitor progress and demonstrate impact.
